Tim Fish
Founder and President
Tim Fish is the founder and president at Two Chairs Studio. Before forming Two Chairs in 2024, he was the Chief Innovation Officer at NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools).
Tim has worked closely with over 500 independent schools in the last 25 years. He has conducted board retreats at over 150 schools, given hundreds of presentations, and talked with thousands of school leaders about their challenges and opportunities. While at NAIS, Tim led internal innovation efforts and was a member of the Strategy Lab team. The team develops deep partnerships with member schools to co-create tools and frameworks that build capacity for designing and implementing strategy and innovation. Tim was also a member of the Jobs To Be Done research team and served as the host for the New View EDU podcast.
Tim has deep roots in the independent school community and a long history at McDonogh School (Maryland) where he served as the associate headmaster for many years. While at McDonogh, he oversaw the academic program, strategic planning, admissions, and campus planning, and served as the interim CFO.
Tim was also the founding president and CEO of the FolioCollaborative, a nonprofit community of more than 175 schools worldwide, focused on working together to build a flexible faculty/staff development process grounded in strong relationships and meaningful conversations.
Tim is the co-author of the book Leadership and Technology at Independent Schools. He started his career as a fourth-grade teacher and has been a founder, and consultant for various schools, organizations, and companies. He has served on several non-profit and corporate boards and recently completed his service on the board of Viewpoint School, a 1,200-student PreK-12 school in Los Angeles.
Tim has an undergraduate degree from St. Francis University and an M.Ed. from George Mason University. Tim is also the father of four children (The Four Fish Sticks). Tim and his wife, Diane, live outside Baltimore, Maryland.

Bri DeRosa
Engagement and Experience Director
Bri has been an independent consultant specializing in communications, project management, and strategy for nonprofit organizations and social impact initiatives since 2014. Her client portfolio primarily focuses on education, public health, and child and family wellbeing. Bri is also the producer of the New View EDU Podcast with the National Association of Independent Schools and the co-host and producer of The Family Dinner Project Podcast. Prior to launching her own consulting practice, Bri’s background in the performing arts and creative education led her to roles in program development, facilitation, marketing, and communications.
Bri has an undergraduate degree from Drew University and an M.F.A. from Sarah Lawrence College. She and her husband, John, are raising their two sons in the greater Providence, RI area. When she’s not working or engaged in family life, Bri engages in creative pursuits; she is the Soprano Section Leader for the Providence Singers, has contributed to several cookbooks, and has had essays published by outlets including Motherwell, the Huffington Post, and Yahoo Parenting.
